Classroom Parties at Moran Prairie

Classroom parties are a fun way to build community and celebrate together during the school year. At Moran Prairie, we host two main classroom parties:

Fall/Harvest Party

Date: Friday, October 30, 2026

Time: 2:00–3:00 PM

Students may wear costumes (no masks or weapons) and enjoy a fun mix of games, simple decorations, and allergy-safe, pre-packaged snacks.

Optional Forrest Friends Celebration will also be offered during this time.

Valentine's Day Party

Date: Friday, February 12, 2027

Time: 2:00–3:00 PM

This celebration often includes a valentine exchange, games, crafts, and treats—again, all following allergy-aware guidelines.

🧃 Food & Safety Guidelines

To serve all students, especially those with severe, life-threatening allergies and dietary restrictions, it's critical that everyone follows food safety rules:

• Only pre-packaged snacks are allowed (no homemade items)
• All items must follow district-approved food guidelines
• Be mindful of life-threatening allergies and dietary needs
• Always prioritize safety and inclusion when selecting food items.

Full food safety details are shared with Room Parents prior to each event.

🤝 Want to Help? Be a Classroom Parent!

Each classroom benefits from 1–2 Room Parents who help coordinate party planning with the teacher and other volunteers.

Room Parents typically:

• Plan 2 parties per year (Fall/Harvest & Valentine’s)
• Coordinate games, decorations, and snacks
• Follow school rules and guidelines
• Work closely with the teacher

Room Parent's don’t have to do it all—just be willing to organize and bring people together! There's always room for other parent volunteers to join in and lend a hand.

💵 Room Parent Reimbursements

Classroom Parents may be reimbursed for party-related expenses, up to $50 per class, per party (October and February).

To receive reimbursement, you must:

Submit itemized receipts through the online reimbursement form

Please include your teacher’s name

📅 Reimbursement Submission Deadlines:

October Party: Submit by November 28, 2026

February Party: Submit by March 1, 2027

Late submissions cannot be processed. We appreciate your help in keeping things timely and organized!
