The PTG is committed to supporting our students beyond their elementary years.

A $2000 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding Moran Prairie alumni embarking on their college journey in the fall.

We are very proud of our past Prairie Dogs and want to recognize their hard work and dedication.

Scholarship applications will be accepted until March 30, 2025, with the winner being announced by April 30, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors and meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Promoted from Moran Prairie Elementary to middle school; OR
• Attended Moran Prairie Elementary for three or more years.

How to Apply:

To be considered for the Marilyn Highberg Moran Prairie Alumni Scholarship, please follow these steps:

1. Complete the Application Form by March 30, 2025.
2. Provide a Record of Activities
   1. Include a summary of your participation in school, community, and leadership activities during your high school career.
3. Respond to Essay Questions
   1. Write responses of 300 words or less for each of the following prompts:
      1. Essay #1: Describe an event while attending Moran Prairie Elementary and how it has helped shape who you are today.
      2. Essay #2: What are your future plans and goals after high school?
4. Submit Two Letters of Recommendation
   1. One recommendation from a teacher or school staff member.
   2. One recommendation from an adult community member not related to you and not associated with your school (e.g., employer, religious leader, youth leader, coach, or counselor).

School & Community Activities will be scored on significance of participation, accomplishments, and leadership. Essays will be scored on content, organization, style, and grammar. All personal information (ie: name & contact information) will be redacted prior to scholarship committee review. 

The recipient will be invited to speak at the Moran Prairie Elementary 5th Grade Promotion on Friday, June 13, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
